Michelle Bediako, founder of Birmingham-based clothing brand NASB Stitches plans…
Earlier this month, Wonda World Estates and Petronia City CEO Nana Kwame Bediako was crowned Business Entrepreneur of the Year at the fifth Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards (GUBA), held in London.
The well-deserved accolade follows the success of Nana’s Wonda World Estates portfolio, which features a mind-blowing set of residential developments based in some of Ghana’s most affluent areas, including Osu, Airport, Cantonments, and East Legon.
Back in the day, Nana studied in the UK and founded an independent record label called Wonda World Entertainment. He later opened a nightclub in Ghana.
Nana’s real estate business acumen kicked in after he bought the property he was renting for the club; sold it, and found that property could earn him triple the amount he made as a promoter. By 2001, he’d built his first house and Wonda World Estates was born.
Now, Nana’s working with a world-class team including famed architect David Adjaye OBE to develop Petronia City, a ‘self-sustaining, master-planned, integrated’ environment. The groundbreaking project started in 2013 and is set for completion in 2023.
