Appsafrica.com Innovation Awards 2015 Finalists
The Appsafrica.com Innovation Awards 2015 celebrate the enormous growth in mobile, technology and entrepreneurship in Africa.
Entrepreneurs with innovations launched in at least one African market (regardless of where in the world the venture actually started) were welcome to apply for the accolade supported by leaders in mobile, tech and innovation, including Mobile Monday South Africa, iHub Kenya, CcHub Nigeria, Think Rwanda, MEST Ghana and Kenya and Women In Tech Africa.
Appsafrica founder Andrew Fassnidge told AB2020: ‘At Appsafrica.com we cover mobile, tech and innovation news from across Africa, so we really wanted to celebrate and give recognition to the people behind these innovations.
‘We were very impressed with the response, both in quality and also the range of problems mobile and tech ventures are solving in Africa,’ Andrew adds. ‘We received over 200 entries from 22 countries and are delighted with the response and reach across three continents.’
Expert judges are in the process of selecting winners to be announced at the inaugural awards ceremony set to take place in Cape Town on Monday 16 November.
