Lagos Summit to Boost Africa’s Angel Investing Community
Global and local investors will gather in Nigeria this month for the third annual African Angel Investor Summit 2016 (AAIS2016).
The one-day event will bring together investors and thought-leaders in the early stage investing space from across Africa and the globe to exchange best practices, share lessons learnt and set the road map for angel investing in the future.
Tomi Davies, President of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN), which hosts the event, says: ‘Growing Africa’s Angel investing community is a critical component to scaling up the number of African start-ups successfully becoming global businesses.
‘AAIS2016 is a crucial gathering for experienced and new investors to hold prescient conversations, sharpen their investing skills, and build the relationships needed for successful co-investment.’
As part of the AAIS2016 theme: ‘Co-investing, making it work together’, partner activities have also been confirmed for entrepreneurs to attend in the days after the main event, which will be held at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. They include the High Growth Africa Summit and She Leads Africa Demo Day
