Ghana’s Biggest Tech Gathering Returns: Tech in Ghana Accra 2024

Accra, Ghana – October 26, 2024 – Tech in Ghana, the country’s leading platform for technology innovation and collaboration, is proud to announce its 14th edition, set to take place on November 26th and 27th at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

Founded in 2017, Tech in Ghana has consistently served as a key player in Ghana’s tech industry, driving dialogue, innovation, and cross-continental collaboration among stakeholders, startups, and entrepreneurs. With annual events in London (London Tech Week ) and Accra, Tech in Ghana has convened over 700 speakers and welcomed over 4,000 attendees across 13 events. As it enters its 14th edition, Tech in Ghana solidifies its reputation as a catalyst for growth, connectivity, and transformative progress in Africa’s tech ecosystem.

Curated for founders, investors, stakeholders, and champions of Ghana’s thriving tech ecosystem, this year’s event promises an unparalleled experience under the theme ‘Security, Synergy & Storytelling.’ As Ghana emerges as a pivotal tech hub for Africa and beyond, this theme inspires industry leaders to explore how robust security frameworks, collaborative partnerships, and storytelling strategies can shape sustainable digital progress.

The conference will feature a lineup of keynotes, insights, expert-led panels, immersive showcases, workshops, mentorship and breakout sessions. Attendees will also experience robotics and immersive virtual reality (VR) exhibitions.

This year’s Tech in Ghana is supported by a prestigious group of sponsors and partners who reinforce the event’s mission. Old Mutual leads as the headline sponsor, with additional support from prominent organizations including Andela, Silicon Overdrive, the British High Commission, Telecel, the International Trade Centre, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, the Ashanti Investment Fund, Turntabl, and Aya Data.

“The story of Andela’s journey and global success wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging Ghana’s impact, so I’m pleased to attend and speak at the Tech in Ghana conference. As organizations’ business needs rapidly change, I look forward to discussing the opportunities available in the global landscape, how Andela is bridging the gap by connecting brilliant African talent to opportunities with global organizations, and how Ghanaian talent can continue to position themselves to access these opportunities now and in the future,” said Akua Sencherey, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Andela.

Seli Gavu, Chief Risk Officer, Old Mutual Ghana “I’m thrilled to be part of the Tech in Ghana Conference 2024. At Old Mutual, we’re at the forefront of innovation—being the first in Ghana to launch an insurance product via WhatsApp. Ghana’s tech industry is vibrant and full of opportunities for entrepreneurs dedicated to solving our nation’s challenges. I see a bright future, with regulators and innovators alike supporting solutions that make life better for Ghanaians. This conference is the perfect place to network, collaborate, and drive the agenda of growth and elevation for Ghana.”

Harriet Thompson, British High Commissioner to Ghana, said: “Boosting economic prosperity and creating jobs are top priorities for both the UK and Ghana. That’s why Tech in Ghana has become such an important moment in the calendar – bringing together the flourishing tech industry in both countries to exchange knowledge and showcase innovation.”

Founder of Tech in Ghana, Akosua Annobil, added, “Tech in Ghana is more than just an event; it’s a space for open and honest conversations that foster collaboration and innovation. The most powerful thing we have done is create a strong network of visionary Ghana tech ecosystem leaders and supporters. With each passing year, Tech in Ghana evolves, and this year’s conference marks a significant evolution, as we’ve chosen a new venue and partnered with brilliant organisations to enrich the experience.”
